The Lions Club of Gilles Plains Inc. was Chartered on 24th June 1979 our
membership is made up of the following :

Our club boundary includes the Adelaide suburbs of Gilles Plains, Greenacres

and make donations to many and varied charity organizations and foundations, the
total of our donations for the year 2006 / 2007 was $7,274.57.
Our funds are derived from the community spirit and endeavors, and the hard work of
our members in great projects like selling Lion Mints, Lions Christmas Cakes, BBQ's for our local
Christmas Carols at Oakden Baptist Church, BBQ's for just about any one that asks (within
reason and priority) we also run a Giant Christmas Stocking project which the
tickets (6,000) are sold in local shopping centres, and by club members. We
conduct two Barbecues for disabled persons associated with CARA (Community
Accommodation and Respite Agency), one at Enfield Community Centre and one
at LeFevre Community Centre.
As a Lions Club we are very proud to be involved in our community and as our
motto says "WE SERVE" and do so to the best of our ability, the support from our
local community is well appreciated. You never know when we may be able to
assist you!

IN
APPRECIATION
In
recognition of the contribution of the Lions Clubs of Turkey, especially Lion
Dr. Enzar Tore, in providing free web page hosting for Lions Clubs everywhere,
the Lions Club of GILLES PLAINS proudly displays the flag of
Turkey on our site.
Click on the flag to go to the web site of Lion Dr. Enzar's home club - the
Lions Club of Canakkale.
As an extension
to the Turkish Lions' contribution, the Brisbane Ekibin Lions Club of MD 201
Q1 (Australia) offer assistance to Lions Clubs who want to take advantage of
the Turkish Lions offer, but are not familiar with web publishing. They've
already set up many sites for Lions Clubs world-wide, using Lionwap.
If your club wants to be on the internet, and would like some help, leave a
message in the Ekibin Guest Map/Book by clicking on the image above. This is
a FREE SERVICE, so you don't spend a cent for their work. As Lionwap is also
FREE, this means you get a web site that you NEVER have to pay for. - Is that
a deal or what?
All your Club has to do it have some-one update and maintain your page, which
needs not take more than a few minutes each month. The Ekibin Lions will even
give you some tips on that!
